This is one of GP’s (grandpa's) special treats that he made for us in the summer. We loved this lemony ice cream and looked forward to getting some of this special treat. When I grew up and got his recipe I was absolutely shocked at how simple it is to make. The lemon juice is what thickens the cream, so there is no need to put in an ice cream machine. It's refreshingly YUMMY!

In large bowl stir together cream and sugar until sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Mix in lemon peel and juice. Freeze in sherbet dishes.
