Clean and rinse duck breasts. Check to be sure and remove any pellets. Rub down both sides with fresh minced garlic. Salt and pepper both sides. Place in 350 degree oven for 50 minutes in a covered dish. Remove from oven. Increase oven temperature to 425 degrees.

Place all other ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 2-3 minutes then remove from heat.

Brush the above glaze onto the duck breasts and place in hot broiler uncovered for 1-2 minutes. Keep an eye on the breasts so they don’t burn, add a second or third application of glaze on breasts every 2-3 minutes until a golden brown glaze has been formed on top (approx. 8-9 minutes). When serving, heat up and pour any left over glaze over the duck breasts.
